MTV International case study
"Wapple have demonstrated the dynamic nature of their technology by meeting our specifications and instantly applying modifications on request. Bespoke developments have been speedy, allowing our mobile internet designs to be realised and in some cases exceeded" Mark Bamber - MTV Networks Europe
As a highly innovative media company MTV is extremely proactive in the mobile space committing large resource to their mobile strategy which covers social networking, mobile TV, content portals, competitions and promotions.
MTVNE discovered Wapple whilst seeking a technology provider for the 2006 Europe Music Awards mobile channel and have used Wapple services and technology for many of their mobile properties including ‘Pimp My Ride’ and ‘Meet or Delete’. Other mobile properties have included band sites such as ‘Korn’ and ‘Akira The Don’ and MTV digital partnerships such as ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Staying Alive’ and ‘Shrek 3’.
Many of the MTV sites are available in multiple languages and have a variety of features such as interactive quizzes, user feedback and mobile content downloads including video, tones games and wallpaper. These have been promoted through many different channels including the European Music Awards, TV and mobile banner advertisements.
To date MTV have been extremely happy with both the technology and support provided by Wapple and have quickly been able to learn the Wapple Canvas™ toolkit for easy page creation and updates.
